At the same time her dead step-mother has decided to haunt Betsy. Why? We don't know.

This is the weakest plot I have ever seen with even weaker dialogue. I hate giving up on a series but why bother.

This is the second book in the Women of the Otherworld series and continues Elena Michaels story. She is the only female werewolf in the world.

A rich spoiled gillizionaire, Tyrone Winsloe has decided to pick up all the 'other' types of beings and imprison them to study them and then hunt them off. Elena is caught and spends much of her time in captivity trying to figure out how to escape.

Clay, the werewolf who turned her and loves her also plots for her escape.

This is a very dark and gruesome story with lots of graphic details. However they did not get in the way of the telling of the story for me and made for an interesting read. I thought the ending was very apropos.

Sookie Stackhouse is a waitress in small-town Louisiana with the unique ability of being able to read people's minds. Infact, she has trouble blocking out other's thoughts. When a vampire walks in to the bar, she knows right away and saves him from a couple trying to drain his blood to sell, putting him in her debt. Bill introduces himself and all Sookie hears is silence, she can't read his mind, which is a relief.

Sookie very quickly get sucked in (no pun intended) to the vampire world as she gets closer to Bill. However there's a murderer on the loose, killing women that have relationships with vampires and Sookie knows she could be on the hit list. Can the police catch the murderer before he gets to Sookie?

I actually picked this book up last year to read it but for some reason couldn't get in to it. This time I didn't have any problems, and found the book to be quite fun, though not as enjoyable as the Undead series by Mary Janice Davidson. About 75% of the way through the book I started getting a little tired of it and wished the story would move along a bit quicker. I'm going to try the next book in the series to see if I want to continue reading the entire series.

This book is the sequel to Bloodsucking Fiends. Jody has turned Tommy into a vampire and he must now learn some new habits. First they must find a new minion to do their daytime chores. They find a way to drink coffee without vomiting and they have to decide what to do about a bronzed old vampire.

Tommy's old night crew friends blow all their money on a Vegas hooker and now the hooker wants Tommy's money too. I loved the way the minion took care of Jody and Tommy in the end

This book was very similar to the first but it was still entertaining.

First Line: "You bitch, you killed me"

Jodi becomes a vampire and of course her whole life changes. She moves out from her boyfriend's apartment and she must learn how to operate during the nocturnal hours. Enter Tommy. New to San Francisco and naive he finds a job at night re-stocking shelves in a grocery store. During the day he hopes to become the great American novelist.

Jodi seduces Tommy and he does her bidding. However bodies start being found wherever these two are.

This book is a light fluffy read. Tommy and his fellow re-stockers enjoy a game of frozen turkey bowling. I don't think I will ever be able to look at another frozen bird quite the same.

First Line: "Sundown painted purple across the great Pyramid while the Emperor enjoyed a steaming whiz against a dumpster in the alley below."

This book was better than the last one. MJD picked up the pace. Betsy is on the verge of finally being wed to the Vampire King, Sinclair. Plans are progressing nicely until everyone disappears or is killed. Betsy's father and stepmother are killed in an auto accident and she is now guardian of BabyJon. Sinclair is just not around. Her best friend is in the hospital fighting cancer.

Betsy must handle things by herself. She deals with fiends, werewolves and a few very unfriendly vampires. I found this book a bit faster paced, due to the increase in action. Still Betsy is a vampire bimbo. She is the vampire Queen but at times she just is so dumb.

a fluff book :)

This is definitely not a literary masterpiece but it is entertainment. Pure fluff!!

This time Betsy is planning her wedding, trying to come up with a guest list for her surprise birthday party, babysit her infant brother and host some European bigwig vampires. Everyone is ignoring the birthday party, her brother is messing his pants at every opportunity and these bigwigs turn out to have murdered her friend. What else can go wrong? Lots as it turns out!

These books are just fun to read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have read very few paranormal books and think I had better include them more often.

Elena is the only female werewolf. She has left her pack to try to live a normal life; live-in boyfriend, apartment, job. She is summoned home to help defend the pack's territory against some 'mutts'.

It seems that Elena isn't comfortable with the other werewolves or without them. Armstrong takes the reader into the dynamics of the group. Elena must figure out who she really is and what she really wants most.

The book is a paranormal, a romance and a mystery all rolled into one

This was a different type of read for me. The book was interesting but I really had trouble getting into it. The reason for this is probably the number of characters. I just didn't see all the connections at first. I did enjoy the ending though
Favourite Character: Augustus Brine. He is a inventive person who knows what he wants out of life.
Least Favourite Character: Catch. He is a demon. UGH!
Best Part of the Story: I liked the inventive way Augustus Brine tries to catch Catch and Travis at Jenny's house
Least Favourite Part of the Story: Amanda's story. I felt that this was overdone and not necessary. Too much detail here.
What was missing: fewer characters

One of my first Paranormal Romances! Emma, 'The Good Witch', makes a living (or lack there of) by transmitting pictures of her clients into the thoughts of men in hopes of getting her clients dates. But with a new she-devil of a client, she starts to question herself and her life. Of course, such a book isn't complete without a hunk (and this one happens to be rich AND British) by the name of William Dearborn, who Emma has an instant connection with. But he is the guy that she is supposed to be transmitting pictures to for her new client. Dare she mix work with pleasure?
This was a really cute and fun book. The story flowed pretty smoothly with enough suspense and romance to keep me turning the pages. Emma and William were both easy to like, and all of the other characters were very quirky. I'd love to read a side story about Victor! He was a laugh. Although at points there were so many back characters around (specifically when she was inviting people for her party) that I couldn't quite remember who was who. If you're looking for a cute, fluffy read you should consider picking this one up.

This is my very first Christopher Moore book, and it's way outside my usual genres (this is part fantasy, part paranormal, part fiction). This story involves a person-eating demon named Catch, and his master (though his control is waining) Travis. I was beginning to get worried as Moore introduced more and more characters into the book. There was a point where I was beginning to forget who was who and would have to flip back to where they were introduced. At the end though, they all tied together nicely.
This was a very easy read, and provided some suspense to try and figure out how the lot of them were going to get rid of Catch. Overall, I thought the book was ok. I hear that Moore's work gets better as he writes more and this is his first book so I'll have to find the next one he's written.
